The first of our new bull barns in Assentoft – Barn 6 – is officially completed. Our bull calves have moved into their new boxes, and are settling in nicely.
After many months of hard work, we are proud to announce that Barn 6, the first of our new bull barns, has been completed and approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (Fødevarestyrelsen).
Move-in day for eight groups of young bulls was Thursday, November 28th, as they were transported from the Dalsgaard facility to their new home. The calves are settling in nicely across eight boxes and are very satisfied and eager to play.
Just across from Barn 6 is Barn 7, where work is still progressing on the 42 individual boxes that will house many of our bulls and the welfare and play areas. We expect construction to be finalised during December and ready for use in January 2025.
It’s very rewarding to see the first of our barns completed, and we look forward to showing you our new facilities in full early next year.
